At times fish become ill, or infected with parasites that require
treatments, this is a sad fact of life. But a sadder fact is when someone
just jumps up and dumps drugs or chemicals into their tanks without the
best information about not only the substance being used but it's limitations
and / or proper dosage and duration of the treatment.
The list of items here should enlighten the subject a little bit, but I
recommend that their use be a "Last Resort", not the first thing
One other word before listing the drugs or chemical compounds ''
PREVENTION IS ALWAYS THE BEST TREATMENT ". Good clean water,
frequently changed, meeting the individual requirements of a given
species, is vital to good health and well being.
